The Dell Streak 7, the larger successor to the five-inch Dell Streak Smartphone, was announced at CES today. Though the Streak 7 will run Google Android OS 2.2 (Froyo) and have access to the Android Market, it will sport the Dell Stage UI overlay.
Powered by the Nvidia dual-core, 1 GHz Tegra 2 processor, the Streak 7 will be equipped with a seven-inch, Gorilla Glass, WVGA touch screen. Featuring a 1.3 megapixel, front-facing camera and preloaded Qik Video Chat software,
the Streak 7 will be ready for video chat, either over T-Mobile’s 4G data network or via Wi-Fi. In addition, the tablet will have a rear-facing, five-megapixel camera, capable of capturing stills as well as video.
Other features include Flash-readiness, a SWYPE virtual keyboard, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, and 16 GB of internal memory, with an SD card slot for expanding memory up to an additional 32 GB.
The Streak 7 will be available in the U.S. "in the coming weeks," according to the announcement from T-Mobile.
