View sonic unveils its new tablet on CES, priding its 4.1-inch ViewPad 4 as a “tablet device with smartphone functionality.” The Froyo-based device features an 800 x 480 resolution touch screen, 5-megapixel camera that can record 1080p video at the back, a front-facing camera, 2GB of ROM, and up to 1GB of RAM.
The guys of Engadget gave the ViewSonic ViewPad 4 a hand-on treatment and were impressed with its responsiveness. The tablet, according to company sources, will be available around mid-June 2011 (while Android Froyo has yet to announce its release).
